Libra started with a simple idea: balance.
Not just on the plate—salt, fat, acid, heat—but in life.

The illustration at the heart of Libra’s brand tells that story. Each element carefully stacked, held in tension, working together. Nothing overpowering. Everything considered. The ingredients themselves echo that idea—drawn from the markets, the soil, the traditions of Antigua. Familiar to the place, essential to its cuisine, and reimagined through a new lens.

Beyond the culinary meaning, the composition reflects Chef Amber Burling’s decision to step away from one of Houston’s most respected culinary environments to build something just as elevated, but rooted in a slower, smaller, more sustainable rhythm for her life and her family.

Because true balance isn’t just something you taste. It’s something you build over time, with intention, in both food and in life.

This year’s recap isn’t my work.
It’s my why.

In 2025, I built a slower, more sustainable version of Marrow—one designed to support my life, not compete with it. I chose margin over momentum, sustainability over scale, and in doing so gained more of what actually matters.

This is the version of Marrow I’m most proud of.

This year reminded me that success can be quiet—that a thoughtful no can be just as powerful as a yes. As I head into 2026, I’m carrying that same intention forward: building meaningful work, at a pace that doesn’t just leave room for life—but helps create it.

Maybe success looks different than we’ve been taught.

Talk about a creative collaboration. ⚡
When Wendy of set out to reimagine her interior design business, she knew she needed a cohesive vision that reflected her decades of expertise and deep roots in Carmel, Indiana. Her goal? To clarify EHD’s target audience, position, and offerings while communicating her elevated yet approachable style through intentionally crafted messaging, and brand visuals.
We partnered with .editorial and to bring EHD’s story to life. From crafting a custom brand identity and full-scale brand messaging to designing a completely new digital home, this project was the epitome of creating collaboratively. Together, we shaped a brand narrative that feels elevated, balanced, and genuine—perfectly aligned with EHD’s design expertise and thoughtful approach.
Copy and design work best when they evolve side by side, and partnering with the teams at Makers and Laer created the opportunity to align strategy, visuals, and storytelling at literally…every step.
For , this rebrand was so much more than new visuals or words on a page. It was about communicating what makes them exceptional—award-winning craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a seamless process from concept to completion. Wendy’s passion for creating spaces that feel both luxurious and livable is woven into every detail of EHD’s new identity.

2024 was a standout year—full of new challenges and opportunities to grow as an artist and business owner. I’m forever grateful to the clients who trust me to bring their visions to life. Here’s a glimpse at *some* of my favorite logos and marks created this year.

As I look to 2025, I’m making an intentional choice to slow down and dive deeper—taking on fewer projects to focus on more thoughtful, purposeful design. Pulling back might just be the greatest challenge yet and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead!

CPM Roundup — The Bold & Bright Ones!

When I started this series over two years ago, creating vibrant palettes was near painful for me. I stayed away from saturated colors like the plague. But as I challenged myself to step outside my comfort zone week after week, I discovered that I actually love creating bold and bright palettes!

PSA: there aren’t “good” colors and “bad” colors. All colors are good and useful, it’s just a question of context. And once that paradigm shift happened for me through CPM, it freed me to enjoy designing things I never thought I could.

…I’m probably still going to wear mostly black clothes, though.
