It’s not just about setting up Web2.0s, trusted social accounts, or Google properties like Google Drive Stacking. The key is in how you create, optimize, and link them together effectively.

Here’s why this strategy works:

1. Branded Entities: These are any online assets you own that are specifically optimized for your brand. It’s crucial to use the same email tied to your Google Business Profile (GBP), likely a Gmail account, to create everything—Google Drive, Google Search Console (GSC), Google Analytics (GA). Consistency helps build trust and authority.

2. Smart Linking: In the first 3-4 months, focus on linking these brand entities only to your website (especially the homepage) and your GBP. Strengthen these connections before moving on to more advanced strategies like Private Blog Networks (PBNs).

3. Interlinking and Optimization: Use consistent images across your website and all brand entities. Interlink reviews, images, and comments to enhance crawling and boost authority. Remember when SEO was the Wild West? 🤠 Here are a few tricks that were once gold but now belong in the graveyard of spammy practices:

1. Text Cloaking: Hiding keywords by matching text color to the background (like white on white). Sneaky, right? 👻

2. Keyword Stuffing: Jamming as many keywords as possible into every nook and cranny of your website. It was like an Easter egg hunt, but for bots! 🥚

3. Link Farms: Joining shady networks just to get tons of backlinks. It was all about quantity over quality. 🏚️

4. Meta Tag Overload: Stuffing keywords into meta tags, hoping search engines would take the bait. 🎣

But as we know, Google has gotten way smarter. 🎓 What worked back then would now get your site slapped with penalties faster than you can say “algorithm update”! 🚫

Current Tactics on the Chopping Block? 🔪

I’m looking at you, "over-optimized anchor text" and "excessive guest blogging". They might still be around, but don’t be surprised if they join the spammy graveyard soon! ⚰️

1️⃣ Offer a Freebie: I offer my existing clients a freebie in exchange for a video testimonial. This makes it easier for them to overcome any shyness and record the video. You can also approach business owners who aren’t clients yet to build up a solid portfolio of case studies and testimonials.

2️⃣ Create a Lead Magnet: I add the video to a landing page with a form for capturing leads by offering a free website analysis. 🎯

3️⃣ Repurpose the Content: I repurpose the video across my main landing page, niche landing pages, blog posts, YouTube, and niche Facebook groups. I’m also planning to add it to my upcoming newsletter. 📧

4️⃣ Drive Traffic: I use social media, PPC ads, and Facebook ads to drive traffic to the landing page. (Pro tip: Start building your email database and newsletter from day one! 💡)

5️⃣ Retarget Like a Pro: I retarget the interested traffic with other offers. 🔁

6️⃣ Keep the Pipeline Flowing: This method keeps my pipeline full! Business owners love video testimonials, and you only need one to get the momentum going. Most of my videos are under 2 minutes, like the one in the screenshot below! 🎥
