For Megan & Adam, a New Orleans celebration layered with rhythm, history, and joy.

An invitation is more than paper.
It’s the first glimpse into a place, a feeling, a weekend remembered.

From hand-painted architecture to thoughtful typography, each Seahorse Bend Press suite is designed to tell a story—one brushstroke at a time.

Their March wedding unfolds across some of the city’s most storied spaces — from a welcome evening at , to a farewell brunch at — with the heart of the French Quarter woven throughout their paper story.

This suite is sprinkled with the moments that make New Orleans unmistakable:
the spires of , warm beignets from , afternoon light at , cocktails at , and the slow glide of the Natchez Riverboat along the river.

Every illustration, color choice, and typographic detail was thoughtfully composed to reflect not just a location — but the feeling of gathering, music drifting through courtyards, and a weekend meant to be savored.

This collection was brought to life by our talented studio team, with watercolor illustration by Zorina and creative direction, design, and storytelling by Jenn with Seahorse Bend Press.

If you’re planning a celebration rooted in place and personal story, we’d love to hear about it.
Seahorse Bend Press works with couples, planners, and creative partners around the world, taking on a select number of commissions each season.
Inquiries are always welcome via DM.

Powdered sugar on your fingers. The sound of brass drifting down a side street. Iron balconies softened by age, jasmine, and time. It’s a city of rituals and rhythm — where history lives not behind glass, but in the way people gather, celebrate, and love.

I went to college at Loyola, and those years shaped the way I see this city: the beauty in patina, the elegance in imperfection, the poetry in everyday moments. It’s one of the reasons I’m so drawn to New Orleans weddings — they feel layered, soulful, and deeply human.

From second lines and candlelit courtyards to late-night beignets passed warm and dusted in sugar, a New Orleans celebration is never just an event — it’s an experience. One meant to be savored slowly, like café au lait, long after the music fades.

If you’re planning a wedding in the Big Easy — local or destination — I’d love to help translate the spirit of this city into artwork and paper that feels just as timeless.

Back in the studio slowly this week — clearing the holiday layers, organizing the quiet details, and making space for what’s next.
There’s something grounding about returning to simple, thoughtful design — pieces meant to be held, shared, and kept.
Looking ahead to the season ahead with care 🤍

Celebrating timeless beauty and architectural romance with this watercolor rendering of the Peabody Library at Johns Hopkins—an iconic venue beloved by wedding couples, planners, and anyone dreaming of an unforgettable celebration. Its soaring atrium, ornate ironwork, and sunlit tiers of books are captured with remarkable detail, paired with the soft, atmospheric warmth only watercolor can create. Shared with love by Seahorse Bend Press.

Robert Rauschenberg worked extensively on costumes, lighting, and set design for dance performances, including many with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company.

In the late 1970s, Rauschenberg collaborated with Cunningham for the production of "Travelogue," 1977. The artist called the costumes and sets he designed "Ta***ic Geography." Billowing curtains of pieced-together cloth were hung above the stage in front of a row of chairs and bicycle wheels, as shown in the archival footage of the dance projected in the Menil's gallery.

We are painting the Peabody Library in Baltimore, Maryland for a large event next year. 📚Transforming the Peabody into a dream venue is a true privilege. Get ready for a stunning painting and luxury invitations as we prepare for an unforgettable event in this space. The George Peabody Library is one of the most beautiful library spaces in the world but it is also an essential space for teaching and research. It was founded in 1878 and designed by Edmund G. Lind, and known for its "Cathedral of Books" design. We’re excited to take on new projects in 2026! Let’s create magic together. We work with both individuals as well as small and large businesses and institutions. We also collaborate with other designers in our industry. 🎨🖌️

We are working on a watercolor bespoke painting for Sarah's family featuring their homes and favorite beaches and things to do. From the cafe where they buy milkshakes, to the sting rays at the boat ramp and the beaches where they snorkel and fish. There are tennis courts and kangaroos, cricket and sandcastles.

I look forward to showing you the original art once it is painted for their family. We should all go to Australia. It is such a beautiful country. I have had so many wonderful clients there so I have a lot of people to have lunch with.

Our days are filled with beautiful love stories. Natasha & Will were married on August 28th at the Woodlands House in Sandy, Oregon. Working with them and painting this gorgeous location in the woods was amazing. I remember when Zorina was painting the location where their ceremony would be held. There are streams of light in the watercolor coming through the trees. I need to visit the woods.
