Brief zero-day description:

Vulnerability exploitation was spotted by several security companies. The attack was detected on November 29, 2018 and seems to be executed by a Ukrainian APT group UA-APT.

360 Core Security dubbed the attack "Operation Poison Needles".

Vulnerability description:

Use-after-free

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error when processing SWF files. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted .swf file, trick the victim to open it and execute arbitrary code on system with privileges of the current user.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

Note: this vulnerability is being exploited in the wild.

Things have been going well for the most part. At this time, we are going to redirect all internet post to the Inetking Internet Services page. This will assist us in keeping the two separate, as well as streamlining things on the back end. Feel free to like, and share the page as needed. For you folks who have already signed up, we are working to get you all installed as quickly as possible. We are currently waiting to get some radio models as they have a longer wait time, while the other models come much quicker. As such, we have went a little away from the order of purchase, to get to the folks who can use the radios in which we currently have ready to install.

We do finally have the fiber up, and running! We have worked this last week to get things in working order and fix any bugs that have come up in the process. We are currently working to get the IPv6 routed correctly and showing up at the customer end. We are waiting on the rest of the radios to arrive, and we will install the rest of you folks. At this point, we have installed a handful of folks which are technically inclined to assist with any break fixes, and zero in on any problems that exist. If all goes well, we will be installing the rest of you folks toward the end of this coming week, and the first week in December!

We are a number of steps closer! Still waiting for the last piece of the connection to be plugged in, and we should be golden. A lot of things have moved in the last couple of days, and we have been at it a good bit this morning. Now then, we just need the final straw, and we will be ready to start up and get folks installed!

So, Even though the Fiber facility was installed last week, and the ports show to be active, the link to our equipment remains down. Their system shows a complete date on or before Nov 9th. I’ll believe it when I see it. I’m hoping it can be done early this week, but won’t hold my breath until it’s done.

The fiber facility has finally been installed. Having said that, their running their test on it for the next 24-48 and then will schedule a turn up of the fiber. It finally looks as if they might have found the correct people that know what is going on, and how to get things done, even if it’s a month later than the contract stated. With any amount of luck at all, we will be able to start the installs this coming week, and have internet to you folks that have been patiently waiting on pins and needles!

The signal has been in the Air and running since the 28th. As of right now, we still do not have fiber as the contract said it would be. I have been told for 3 weeks now that it’s on its way, their working on it, it’s escalated as high as it can be, etc. It has been a long road to get to this point, and it looks like it’s about to finally come together, if they can just get their act together with the Fiber. Some of you had rescheduled, to reschedule, and we are working to make good on that on our end as well. Sorry for the confusion it has brought to us all, it should be getting better this week. From the looks of things, the fiber delayed things just over a month as we were set to have it Sept 28th, and we are just about at Oct 28th, and still waiting. We started doing the home/business installs, as available, but they do take a little longer without the fiber connected, allowing us to see both sides of the link at the same time. We will let you guys know when it’s up and running for good, as they said this last Friday we are looking at no more than 15 days.

We just received notification of the FCC's approval for a Test and Turn up of Internet Services in the Tarkington area! Even though its approved as of today, we wont be able to start broadcasting until tomorrow as the database has to update to reflect the changes made. However, we will be turning up the services pretty quick like and getting the bugs worked out if it before going live here in a couple weeks. There is still a few things to take care of, but the main hurtles are done and over with at this point, we now get to watch them come together, and have internet service!

So, we have now pulled down the old network. This in turn pulled down websites, emails, and servers. This is a temporary thing while we reuse and restructure for the internet service going in. If all goes as planned, we should have things back up and operational within the next 24-72 hours.
