Hello All,
As we complete the Escape Pod and OSKR and relaunch manufacturing, we thought it would be fun to share some of the conversations we’ve had with thought leaders as we turn to the future. Many of you might know, Digital Dream Labs roots are in educational technology and that was the motivation behind us taking over Anki’s robots. Therefore, we are kicking off a small podcast series with Jenny Peterson, the Special Education Department Chair of the Los Angeles Unified School District. “Ms Jenny” has been using Cozmo in her classrooms with students in Regular Education, Asperger's Syndrome, Full Range Autism Spectrum, and Down's Syndrome programs. She is an inspiration to us for the way she uses robotics and coding to make a positive impact on all students. You can listen here: https://bit.ly/33nRj9A. Next week we’ll release an interview with one of our advisors Simon Philips, former President of Marvel.
P.S. We have a busy roadmap of exciting features coming to you, so remember to sign up for the Digital Dream Labs Membership before October 1st to be included. The link to that page is in the comments below 👇
P.P.S. We knew the latest Feature Friday would be a smash hit. The multi-part queries have increased our traffic to the server this weekend almost tenfold. As a result, there were timeout issues last night around 8-10 pm EST. Brett, our cloud engineer and total rock star, made some modifications and we’re back to normal (see graph). A lot of engineering went into expanding the cloud capabilities to handle multi-part quires and other really cool features we’ll be releasing. Of course, we are never satisfied with the status quo and are continually improving. If need be, we are also manually programming several queries where Vector appears to be having issues understanding a question, subtle differences in asking to tell a joke for example. On our platform, we can see when users' questions fail. However, if you want to report any particular issues moving forward, please email [email protected] and we’ll add it to the engineering lists and logs. Have any suggestions you want us to read? We now have a channel [email protected] where you can submit your comments.
