As Service Manager, he leads our repair department and calibration lab, ensuring every instrument meets the highest performance standards. With six years at Copper Mountain Technologies and ongoing Electrical Engineering studies at Purdue University, Josh specializes in troubleshooting and diagnosing complex RF systems.

Inspired by a lifelong curiosity for how things work - sparked by building computers as a kid - Josh stays focused on improving efficiency, reducing turnaround times, and supporting his team’s success. mmWave S-parameters testing is often treated as a measurement problem. In reality, it’s an architecture problem. Many labs and production lines still rely on traditional VNA + frequency extender configurations that were never designed with scalability or cost efficiency in mind. The result?

• High capital cost per test station
• Complex cabling and fragile setups
• Limited ability to scale production testing
• VNAs locked into single-use configurations

This is where test capacity quietly breaks down - not because the measurement is impossible, but because the system around it is inefficient.

The newly introduced BFx-02 Frequency Extension Base changes that dynamic by shifting away from full VNA-dependent architectures.
