The Closing Bit
He checked out early. He finished his set, flipped the universe the middle finger, and left while the rest of us are left sitting in the front row like stunned extras, blinking at the house lights and wondering where the hell the intermission went. It was a masterpiece of a performanceβloud, foul, and terrifyingly honest.
βHe knew the secret: the silence is the punchline. He didn't just walk the stage; he set the curtains on fire. He understood that since weβre all just stardust destined to become topsoil, the only dignified thing to do is to be as loud, as offensive, and as authentically "you" as humanly possible before the bouncer drags you into the alley. βHe nailed the closing bit, dropped the mic so hard the foundation cracked, and walked off into the wings while the room was still reeling. It was his final stand-up, his ultimate "f**k you" to the script.
Honor the wreckage. Go out there and be a beautiful, unmitigated disaster. Say the unspeakable, laugh at the funeral, and turn the volume up until the neighbors call the cops. Because the only thing more pathetic than a life cut short is a long one spent whispering in a room that was always meant to be screamed in.
βThe curtain is down. The stage is empty. The joke is on us. Now go make it count.
