One thing I love about children’s book projects is that they are never “just illustrations.”
For Lincoln and Lucas Go Camping, I helped bring the author’s manuscript to life as a complete full-color picture book. That meant developing the visual story from beginning to end, not just drawing pretty pictures.
My role included character design, full interior illustrations, page composition, text placement, book layout, print formatting, and KDP title setup.
The author provided the written manuscript, and from there I planned how the story would unfold visually. Every page turn guides young readers through the story.
This project is a great example of what I do for children’s book authors: I help turn a manuscript into a visually engaging book ready for publication.
