Some celebrate publishing a book as THE big thing while others celebrate the milestone, seeing it as just a piece in a much bigger and wildly more beautiful picture. I definitely fall in the latter camp.

Still, as I consider the implications of what's ahead for those who but put even one of these principles into practice, I can't help but to be ridiculously excited.

I almost spit-spewed my iced espresso across the table sitting with a high-caliber professional I have long had MAD respect for. I'm surprised he didn't catch me jolting a bit as he caught me off guard with the crazy props he gave to my copywriting.

❌ What it was NOT: "Hey, girl, that's some mighty fine copy you write there."

✅ What it was: "Would you be up for reviewing the copy on my site? I want to just have you write it."

While I can roll with both (what girl doesn't love being told her copy is "mighty fine 😏"), I'd say the latter is way better. Someone at that level wanting me to run with something that has such HUGE implications on the success of his business? Yoooooooo!

Top tier professionals understand what too many miss: MESSAGING MATTERS.

There's an art to writing that goes beyond good grammar and getting a gold star on your report. Good copy doesn't just say a thing - it makes your audience feel the thing.

Pacing, tonality, rhythm, emphasis and de-emphasis... every piece of it matters, especially in an age where BS meters and AI filters are incredibly keen.

❓My question for you today:
Is your own copy drawing your audience in or quietly killing your conversions?

If the latter, it might be time to visit your brand to identify the shifts you could be making to get your message heard. (That would be a shameless call-to-action to drop an application to work with me. 😉)

I consulted 7 VERY different brands this week and they all managed to have 2 things in common:
1. All are owned by truly amazing human beings doing incredible work.
2. All were struggling with the same core issue: how to get their message across to the people who need to hear it.

The breakdowns in communication aren't just costing them leads. They're impacting every interaction that follows.

Each demands a solid strategy custom-fitted to their brand, industry, audience, etc. Each deserves someone willing to take the time to get it right.

Branding isn't about looking good. It's about having the clarity, conviction, and strategy that creates pull in your marketing. It makes sense of the customer journey. It helps you speak in a way that gets heard and respected. It reframes interactions with clients and customers.

Don't let people dull your brand with generic solutions. Make sure you're connecting with an agent willing to put in the time and work to elevate what you've already worked so hard to build.

Last week, I had the opportunity to share my recent interview with Preston Zeller, Entrepreneurial savant, artist, and creator of the award-winning documentary, "The Art of Grieving."

I especially loved his insights on how to navigate growth beyond the plateaus so many get stuck at, understanding how to better identify the appropriate market for the stage of business you're in and how to make solid pivots that facilitate stronger growth.
