💥 Amazon vs. Rocky’s Ace Hardware – Who Really Wins?

We’ve all done it.

Amazon has made it almost too easy. But the question is: **easy for who?**

A few weeks ago, I ordered four furnace filters from Amazon.
Then, a thought hit me — *what if I just bought them here in Leominster instead?*

I checked Rocky’s Ace Hardware.
They had them in stock.
No shipping, no wait… and each filter was **$1 cheaper than Amazon.**

So I canceled my Amazon order.
Jeff Bezos never called to ask why. 😉

Sure, Amazon offers speed and convenience — but the real cost isn’t on your credit card.
It’s in:

* Fewer local jobs
* Less tax revenue for our schools and roads
* A weaker sense of community

Every dollar we spend local **stays local** — building stronger neighborhoods, safer streets, and a town that still knows your name when you walk in the door.

So, next time you’re ready to click “Buy Now,” ask yourself:
👉 *Could I buy this from my neighbor instead of Jeff?*

Because when we buy local, **we all win.**

Happy Saturday,

I have been promoting rescue dogs and cats for a number of years now through social media and Youtube. My favorite method is to visit shelters and take pictures or videos of the animals and then post the content on Facebook.

Here are a few images from my Google Advisor account which I took at the Sterling Animal Shelter recently.

Happy Thursday,
Saturday, June 1st, is a big day for Santa Clara Animal Care & Control.

They will be hosting a very special event for adopting a new pet.
It will be FREE adoption day!

I have been visiting the Shelter regularly and post images of the pups on my Google Advisor account ;-)

I'm trying to raise awareness of the plight of these poor animals since there has been an increase in abandoned animals over the last 2-3 years. Which in turn fills up the shelters.

If you aren't in a position to adopt a pet at the moment, stop by anyway and check out the facility. They are always in need of clean towels, paper towels, etc.
