The driver qualification file will be asked for in an audit
Driver application — including for yourself. MVR from every licensing state, in the file within 30 days of hire. Annual MVR review, documented and signed. Pulling it isn't enough. Road test certificate or the CDL you're accepting in place of one. Safety performance history — written inquiries to every DOT-regulated employer from the past 3 years. Keep proof you asked even if nobody replied. Current medical examiner's certificate. Entry-level driver training for anyone who got a Class A or B CDL, or a first P, S or H endorsement, on or after 2/7/2022. You verify it through FMCSA's Training Provider Registry. Clearinghouse full query before they operate, then a limited query every year after. Employment history — 3 years of every job, plus 7 more years of commercial driving for CDL applicants.
And one that's gone: the annual list of violations. FMCSA rescinded 391.27 on May 9, 2022. The annual MVR review is what stayed.
