Today was a good day for downtown Lincolnton.

I attended the grand opening of Rise and Shine Yoga Lincolnton this afternoon, a studio I had the honor of designing the brand, website, and logo for, it was pretty neat seeing that logo off the screen and on a sticker.

The space is warm, welcoming, and absolutely beautiful. The community showed up in full force. And the owner has poured her whole heart into every single detail.

New on the Blog, straight from this weekend.
This Saturday, I watched an artistic community I work with get publicly dragged for using AI-generated design. It was hard to witness. Then that night, I came across Maker's Market CLT Community Over Convenience initiative, a beautiful, solution-focused response to the exact same problem.
Two completely different approaches to the same issue. One that hurt. One that helped.
When I started this blog, my goal was one post a month. But some conversations just cannot wait.

One of my fun thing about what I do is getting to see my work out in the real world. 🖤

You may have passed by this spot in Valdese, NC before, but trust me, it is not what it used to be!

Under new ownership, this space has been completely reimagined and reborn as House of Poe, an antiques, gifts, and art shop with the most wonderful personality. New name. New owners. New brand. I had the honor of creating the logo 🐈‍⬛️

Naturally I had to stop in and see it for myself. And I may have walked out with a few antiques AND their sticker featuring the very logo I designed. I could not resist 😄
