Most of my illustrations take over 10 hours and an embarrassing amount of overthinking.

Part 2 is for the history nerds 😭 We ended up in Watts after eating seafood in somebody’s backyard… so obviously we had to visit .

It’s kind of surreal because there are regular ranch homes all around it. Just sitting right in the middle of the neighborhood like it’s no big deal. Such a beautiful place to visit.

Anyways… last month I started a 100 character challenge to help me loosen up and learn a faster illustration style for my next book. These are numbers 14 and 15.

We’ll see how many I can get done next week because the references take forever to find. I’m looking for poses, expressions, outfits, backgrounds…

So if you’ve got a photo you’d let me use as reference, DM me please so I can spend less time scrolling the internet lol
