Bummed. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I won’t be making it to tonight’s open at the Imaginary Factory in Madison. It’s a fantastic exhibition and everyone should go check it out. This octopus painting on three skate decks is looking for a forever home. Gimme a shout if yer interested.

Found this little warrior mouse at my parents house. I think I sculpted him about twenty years ago. He was the protagonist in a story with anthropomorphized mice, rats and cockroaches… oh and there were also skyscraper sized sea turtles.

I never fully developed this much beyond character concepts and a loose world narrative but always dreamed of it being told with puppets.

In an exhibit celebrating pop culture icons and low brow art, an American mascot, like Uncle Sam, who sells patriotism, for better and/or worse is apt subject matter in our current times.

Also, I’m a GEEK about ART and history. Goya’s painting, “Saturn Devouring His Son,” has always given me “the feels.”
