After much coding & debugging, one of my favorite projects is finally coming to life...

For the past couple of weeks, I've been building an automated system that keeps a client's online resource directory in sync with their internal database.

Instead of manually updating hundreds of website listings every time information changes, staff can now make updates in one familiar place, and the website automatically reflects those changes behind the scenes.

✔ No duplicate data entry.
✔ No forgotten updates.
✔ No copying and pasting.
✔ One source of truth.

These are the kinds of projects I love most — not because they're flashy, but because they solve real operational problems and save organizations countless hours over time.

If your team is maintaining the same information in multiple places, there's a good chance that process can be automated.

Sometimes the best technology is the kind you never notice... it just quietly works.

If you've ever caught yourself saying, "There has to be a better way," I'd love to chat.

Sometimes the best design work is the kind no one notices.

This project came with an incredibly tight deadline. Our client, Gaby Fernandez-Tassin of Au+Engineering, needed their new service truck branded and ready to hit the road in less than 48 hours. From logo production to installation, every step had to happen quickly — but speed never came at the expense of quality.

Vehicle graphics are about much more than simply making a logo "fit." Every curve, body line and contour of a truck has the potential to distort artwork if it isn't carefully considered. We took the time to precisely scale and position the graphics so the logo remained true to the brand, avoiding areas where the truck's shape would visually skew or stretch the design.

To ensure the final product matched our vision, we also provided detailed installation specifications, giving the installer exact placement dimensions and alignment points. That attention to detail meant there was no guesswork on installation day — and the graphics landed exactly where they were intended.

A huge thank you to the team at FASTSIGNS Frisco for an exceptional turnaround. They printed and installed the graphics in record time (less than 24 hours!) without sacrificing quality, helping us deliver a finished truck that looked polished, professional and ready for its first job.

This is one of those projects that reminds us good design isn't just about creating artwork; it's about understanding how that artwork lives in the real world.

Not every brand's story unfolds the same.

Sometimes a brand begins with a building.

When developing the identity for Winter Street Partners, an investment and acquisitions company, we looked beyond industry trends and financial clichés for inspiration. Instead, we turned to history.

The name and logo were inspired by one of the earliest assets acquired by the C&S Family of Companies — a warehouse on Winter Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Originally purchased in 1918, the building represented the entrepreneurial spirit, vision and hard work that would ultimately grow into a business spanning more than a century.

Using archival photographs as reference, we transformed the warehouse into a custom logo mark that connects the company's future to its roots.

The result is a brand built on something authentic — a visual reminder that growth doesn't happen overnight. It starts with a foundation.

This project included:
• Brand Strategy
• Logo Design
• Corporate Identity Development
• Business Cards
• Letterhead
• Brand Standards Guide

One of my favorite parts of branding is uncovering the stories that already exist and finding meaningful ways to bring them forward.

Swipe to see how a historic warehouse became the foundation for a modern corporate identity.

Some design projects require countless rounds of exploration before the right concept emerges. Others arrive almost fully formed.

Caro Giovanni was one of those rare projects.

Author Madelaine Landry shared the remarkable story behind her historical fiction novel — a story inspired by letters exchanged between her father, an American soldier stationed in Italy during World War II, and an Italian friend he met in 1945. Decades later, those letters were rediscovered among family keepsakes and became the foundation for her book.

As I sifted through the original correspondence, one detail quietly stood out: a pressed Edelweiss flower preserved between the pages. It became a recurring symbol throughout the project and ultimately found its way onto the cover as a subtle tribute to the author's father and the history that inspired the novel.

The handwritten letters, postal markings and aging paper weren't simply design elements — they were pieces of a real story. My role was to honor that history while creating a cover that would invite readers into the narrative.

Projects like this remind me why I love what I do! Great design isn't always about creating something new from scratch. Sometimes it's about uncovering the story that's already there and finding the most meaningful way to tell it.

Proud to have designed the cover for this published work and grateful to Madelaine for trusting me with such a personal story!

Many small businesses spend time and money trying to stand out, but one of the biggest trust-builders is often overlooked: consistency.

If your logo looks different across platforms, your colors change from piece to piece or your imagery feels disconnected, customers may receive mixed signals before they've even interacted with your business.

The good news? Building trust through branding doesn't require a complete rebrand or a massive budget.

In our latest blog post, we share practical, low-cost ways to create a more consistent visual identity — from defining a simple brand kit to standardizing layouts, imagery and everyday marketing materials.

One of the most overlooked opportunities in web development right now? Connecting the tools organizations already use internally to create better public website experiences.

Many teams maintain valuable data in SharePoint — but website visitors still have to dig through PDFs, outdated pages or multiple phone calls to find what they need.

We’re helping organizations bridge that gap by transforming SharePoint-managed data into searchable website resources that are:

✔ Easier to maintain
✔ Faster for users to search
✔ Mobile-friendly
✔ Integrated with existing workflows

If your team already maintains lists, directories or databases in SharePoint, there’s a good chance we can turn that information into a much more powerful website feature without recreating everything from scratch.

Curious what’s possible? Let’s connect.

On a recent visit to The Broad in Los Angeles I stood in front of Jenny Holzer’s Inflammatory Essays (1979–1982).

What struck me most wasn’t just the content — it was how words, paired with visual form, become impossible to ignore.

“FEAR IS THE MOST ELEGANT WEAPON…”

Holzer understood something marketers, designers and storytellers live by: language shapes perception, and design amplifies emotion. Fear doesn’t need spectacle to be effective. It works quietly — through headlines, visuals, repetition — shaping beliefs and influencing behavior.

Post-COVID, we’ve seen how quickly narratives spread and how visual cues can reinforce uncertainty or inspire confidence.

Her work is a reminder that communication is never neutral. The written word can move people, and design can make them feel it. That combination is powerful — and comes with responsibility.

What we say matters. How we show it matters even more.
