I have been designing record sleeves and layout materials since forming my first band way back in 1997. I didn't even know what a graphic designer was back then, but I knew our first demo needed a cover and layout. I took it upon myself to figure out Photoshop in my high school's technology lab. Sunday worship service. Obviously Slayer would be a dream client… my ideal art direction would be something old school like this. Slayer is one of those bands that has very iconic artwork so to stay true to that aesthetic while doing something fresh is a challenge. As a fan I’d buy this without hesitation 😘

Another timelapse look at my brain in action. Key insight here - watch me start with an element, only to discard it altogether at the end. This entire project started with me wanting the mansion in the background but in the end it just didn’t work. Anyone want to print these, give me a shout 😉!

Tour poster design for Atomic Aggressor and ECTOVOID! This began as an acrylic painting several years ago. It was scanned finished digital earlier this year to be used as the art for this tour. Swipe for the final and the traditional painted version before the digital additions. Also - if you have your sound on I’m playing the solo in the song I chose. Just a little Easter egg. Ecto are the eternal homies and I’m proud they let me make art for them and make noises on their album. This will be their first time in Europe, make it unforgettable for them!

Been busy in the lab. We have a brand new website and I overhauled my portfolio. You’ll find a few select recent projects, a ton of selected posters from the past few years, and for the first time - art available to license.

I’ve got 20 years of design and creative direction and you definitely own a record I did the layout for or went to a show I made the poster for.
