Incredible what these cars can do. Just a couple passes in 1550ft DA on Thursday at a local track starting on waste-gate spring 27-28psi got it high 8s, 35psi 8.3, 42-43psi 8.1, 50-52psi 7.88 without really pushing it in the 1/8th in lower gears and front left wheel persistently lifting. It’s become a 7s off the trailer car now, consistent 7s and highest trap of 187mph so far.

Hopefully weather serves us right and we get to turn it up some more before season closes here 🤞

⚙️ VANOS EXPLAINED: How BMW controls valve timing.

How does your BMW balance torque, power, and efficiency across the RPM range?

VANOS adjusts camshaft timing to control when the valves open and close based on engine speed and load.

🔸 Low RPM: Optimizes intake valve timing to improve low-end torque.

🔸 High RPM: Adjusts valve timing to help the engine breathe better and produce more power.

🔸 Valve overlap: Controls how long intake and exhaust valves stay open together, affecting airflow, efficiency, and turbo response.

🔸 Oil pressure: Controls the VANOS system to advance or re**rd camshaft timing.
