🎉🎉 We had a blast at the Alabama National Fair

We closed out the 2026 season alongside Be Pro Be Proud, celebrating 10 years of opening doors to technical professions. Their Mobile Workshop was on the fairgrounds, where students and families climbed aboard for hands-on simulations in welding, HVAC, electrical work, and heavy equipment.

Closing day doubled as a celebration for First Responders Day, presented by Meta. Free admission to firefighters, law enforcement, EMS and dispatchers.

From students exploring careers, to tradespeople building this community, to first responders keeping it safe, we believe the future is for everyone.

Special thanks to the Alabama National Fair and Be Pro Be Proud. We’re already looking forward to next year!

Alabama's firefighters, police officers, paramedics, dispatchers and EMTs answer the call for our communities day in and day out to keep us safe. To honor them, we're excited to sponsor First Responder's Day at the Alabama National Fair on Sunday, October 18th.

⚡️ 🔖 We welcome all first responders and up to three family members with free admission to the fair. Through our Future is for Everyone Fund, we're investing directly in the people and shared spaces that help Alabama communities thrive, and we're proud to help the Alabama National Fair give these local heroes and their families a day to be celebrated. 🎡🎢

Meta and Be Pro Be Proud launched Be Pro Be Proud Texas making it our third statewide chapter after Tennessee and New Mexico. Now, we are excited to kick off a joint 10-stop tour celebrating BPBP's 10th anniversary.

Backed by Meta's $500,000 investment, we’re bringing the Mobile Workshop across our data center communities in Alabama, Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The exciting part? We’re coming to the Alabama National Fair on October 12 for School Day. Come see us! 🎡🎢

We’re proud to keep that partnership going! Our Data Center Community Action Grants are now part of the “Future is for Everyone Fund,” Meta’s $1 billion commitment to the U.S. communities that host a Meta data center. Applications open today!

Our annual community grants program is now part of the Future is for Everyone Fund, Meta's $1 billion commitment to invest directly in the U.S. communities that host a Meta data center. Applications open on September 14 for schools, nonprofits, and community organizations that make this a great place to live and work.

When the call opens, you'll be able to apply for projects across four focus areas:
🤝 Community Enhancement: the shared spaces and services that bring people together, from parks, trails, and gathering places to connectivity and support for first responders like police, firefighters, and paramedics.

💲Economic Vitality: supporting the people and organizations that power local economies — helping workers gain the skills, certifications, and hands-on experience the modern economy rewards, and backing initiatives that create jobs and give a community its character.

🎓Education: programs, tools, and spaces that help learners of every age discover what they're capable of, from early literacy and the arts to hands-on science and technology, plus resources for the educators who make it happen.

🌳Sustainability: caring for the land, water, and wildlife that make this area home, including habitat restoration and conservation that connect people to the natural world.
