Angels Share by grabbed my interest quickly. Capstone Games provided this review copy. In Angels Share, you take turns navigating distilleries, taking actions, and purchasing barrels to age, with the goal of selling them for a profit at the right moment. The game’s core revolves around economics and investing, and although there are multiple factors to consider, managing your turn is relatively simple. Positioned at a midpoint in terms of complexity, Angels Share offers a great introduction to economic games for newcomers while maintaining engagement for seasoned players. The theme seamlessly integrates with the gameplay, as you watch your barrels age and lose some of their contents. Your actions and those of other players will sway the market, influencing prices and leaving you to decide whether to sell or age further. With its quick learning curve and well-designed introductory elements, Angels Share doesn’t overwhelm. The game’s action economy is clean and efficient, and the fluctuating market makes each game feel like an experiment. I’m eager to dive back in and develop a winning strategy.
