On August 15, we partnered with Be the Solution to Pollution to clean up New Bedford’s Riverside Park.

Together, our team of 28 (!!) volunteers collected 175.5 pounds of trash, consisting of 123 alcoholic nip bottles and 174 single use plastic bottles! Every bit counts for a cleaner, healthier waterfront!

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers- small actions, big impact!

This summer, we welcomed Shruti Vasave and Eric Faith to revamp our software team! 👩‍💻

Originally from Pune, India, Shruti Vasave has obtained her master's degree in computer science from Syracuse University. Shruti specializes in applied machine learning, computer vision, cloud-native systems, and full-stack development, with experience leading tech teams and building scalable tools for research and real-world applications. Shruti has hosted a computer vision workshop for Columbia University’s STEM QUEST and founded a literary club of 100+ students during her time pursuing her bachelor’s degree. In her free time, Shruti enjoys watching films, discovering music, and reading.

Eric Faith is a Master of Computer Science from his studies at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, focusing on assessing the susceptibility of large language models to malicious prompts. At UMass Dartmouth, Eric spent two years working as a teaching assistant for courses in algorithm analysis and operating system design. Prior to that, Eric completed his undergraduate degree within the university's Honors College, majoring in computer science and minoring in mathematics. A resident of rural Middleboro, Eric will begin a PhD in computer science at Worcester Polytech. When he's not programming, Eric enjoys fishing, boating, reading, and spending time with friends, family, and his two dogs.

There’s a lot of work to do, and we have the firepower to accomplish our goals. 💪

New Bedford’s second annual Oysterfest at was a success! 🦪

We enjoyed a showcase of the local aquaculture scene while enjoying fresh oysters shucked by the growers of some of the region’s best vendors over fantastic live music performances!

Big thank you to for putting on an amazing event. Year 3 can’t come soon enough!

On June 5, we were present for the Urban Future Lab’s inaugural Urban Future Forum at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, diving into blueprints for advanced energy solutions. 🌍💬

This year’s hands-on and action-driven experience was designed to close development gaps in community engagement and climate infrastructure implementation. 🛠️

Inclusive involvement of local communities in energy development is crucial— true progress includes environmental justice at the core. ⚖️

Big ideas, real solutions, future-forward thinking.

Last Wednesday, we attended 🌱 Greentown Labs’ Green Pathways Panel: Careers & Connections for a Sustainable Future, hosted by TDI Mass Development, for a lively discussion on forging sustainable career paths and building meaningful connections for a greener future 💼🌍

The event spotlighted green workforce opportunities and brought together municipalities, policymakers, educators, and training organizations to foster collaboration.

Engaging conversations like these are key to driving real action toward a strong, inclusive green workforce pipeline. 💡🤝
