19 Million Eggs Recalled Over Salmonella Risk ⚠️
Midwest Poultry Services has voluntarily recalled approximately 19 million eggs due to possible contamination with Salmonella Enteritidis, according to the FDA.
The eggs were produced at two Texas farms between June 6 and July 3, 2026, and sold at Kroger and Brookshire Grocery stores across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Mississippi. No illnesses have been reported.
Check your carton: Recalled eggs may carry carton code P-1950 or 0840962 with Julian dates 157–184 and sell-by/best-by dates ranging from July 20 to August 17, 2026. Brands include Kroger, Simple Truth, Brookshire’s, Country Morning, and Sunups.
The FDA has classified the recall as Class I, its highest risk category, meaning exposure to the affected product could potentially cause serious health consequences or death.
Do not eat recalled eggs. Return them to the store for a full refund.
Salmonella symptoms can include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. 📲
