Right click on Java or Flash and select update from there. Please do this to avoid being Scammed. Sometimes You may actually need the update, other times it may be a scam which will install malware and/or spyware. If you follow the above mentioned method you are certain to get the proper update that you want/need IF you actually need one. Lenovo laptop computers have come pre-installed with a program called Supper Fish. Its intent was to make your shopping experience better. In fact it is a form of Malware. Lenovo has issued a Warning, an apology and free tools to remove this Malware. It is important to know that it was NOT their intent to sell computers with Malware, but they did just the same. If You have a Lenovo laptop that was purchased prior to January 2015 follow this link and the instructions on it.

Todays PCWolfTech Tip: Check for window updates weekly. Install all security updates, important updates, in fact just install all the updates windows has to offer. If you can not install them, or they fail, and you can not figure out how to make them go in, contact your Tech, DONT JUST HIDE THEM. Hiding them does not fix things. Every badly infected computer that PCWolfTech has ever worked on, was well behind on it's updates. Updates , and patches help to protect your computer, they close up holes in your computer's security. As Microsoft finds "Holes" they close them up, and issue a patch or update to correct the problem for you... they are nessisary.

Tip for today: The three most important rules in Computing is backup Back Up and BACK UP. Now the craziness of the holidays are over, this is a good time to start backing up all of your important data. Photos, Documents even game saves if that is what you find to be important. Many different ways to back up stuff, use a pen drive, or a cd/dvd burner or an external Hard drive are some of the ways. I always suggest using more than one method of backing things up for your most important files and data, the ones you just cant live with out. So all of those family photos you took during the holidays should by now be on a pen drive as well as a CD/DVD. Send copies to friends or family. If your HDD should go bad, and you are very unlucky so your pen drive goes bad at the same time, and your DVD gets scratched, you can ask your friend or family member to send you that copy !!!!! If you back things up on a regular bases, you wont ever have to get too upset when a hard drive goes bad, you will have all of your important files back in no time at all once your new hard drive is installed :-)

Please every one have a happy and healthy New Year. Please don't drink and drive during this Holiday season or at any time. The worst way to ever lose a customer is through death.

Tip of the day. it is a good idea to change all of your passwords at least once a Month... certainly once a year in the very least. New years is a good time to do this. When you do change your pass words, keep in mind that using both upper case letters and lower case letters, as well as numbers makes for a stronger password. Select a word at random that has no meaning to your life what so ever, making it harder for people to guess your passwords. Random numbers and letter combinations are even stronger.
