This is a FASCINATING Twitter thread that asks what you would do to profit with admin access to Fortune 50 company.

“I'm going to ask an open question that I like to ask when interviewing or when mentoring people towards thinking more creatively. You've gained access to a Fortune 50 company. Your objective is to make as much money as possible before you get evicted from the network. How?”

The fact that 200 million plus user passwords sat unencrypted is bad enough. That they were unencrypted for multiple YEARS is really, really bad. They were stored on an internal server which makes it even worse. It’s usually much easier to loot a system from the inside. All it takes is a confident individual armed with enough right answers and questions that make someone believe you belong. Kevin Mitnick is living proof of that.

This is an interesting read. Automated calling software does respond and learn from hearing SIT’s, but the developers of those systems also reverse engineer devices like the Tele-Zapper in order to defeat them. For cell phones, you could record the tone and entire ‘disconnected/no longer in service’ message as your voice mail message. I’d loop it twice for effect. You could also use different combinations of the SITs and messages as your voicemail message.

The internet has been around a long time. Professor Leonard Kleinrock sent the first message over the ARPANET in 1969. There were only two internet nodes back then. 30 years ago today, in 1989, Tim Berners-Lee submitted the famous “Information Management” proposal. This is what would become WWW, the World Wide Web.
