In healthcare, connectivity directly affects medical practitioners' ability to provide patient care. A dropped telehealth visit, a contact center outage, or a failed POTS line supporting a life-safety system can have consequences far beyond inconvenience.

As copper networks retire and legacy infrastructure ages, healthcare organizations need to build resilience across every layer of their operations.

In our latest blog, MetTel’s Eddie Rishty shares a practical approach to next-generation healthcare connectivity, including POTS replacement, Starlink, CCaaS, PowerBridge, and Connected Laptop as a Service.

A look back at the 2026 MetTel Innovation Summit.

This past April, we brought together customers and industry leaders for meaningful conversations around the technologies and ideas shaping what’s next for enterprise businesses.

Between the insights shared by Lori Thomas and our speaker lineup, and the conversations around AI, connectivity, cybersecurity, mobility and digital transformation, the Summit was about more than technology. It was about bringing the right people together to exchange ideas, learn from one another and turn innovation into action.

Thank you again to everyone who joined us and helped make this year’s Summit one to remember.

Rural healthcare facilities still rely on century-old copper infrastructure to support critical systems, including emergency communications, fire alarms and elevator phones. As carriers decommission these copper networks, the risks are too significant to ignore.

In a recent HIMSS TV interview, MetTel’s Max Silber joins Andrea Fox, Senior Editor at Healthcare IT News, to discuss what copper retirement means for rural healthcare and why organizations must prioritize the systems that patient safety depends on.

Recent industry reports suggest Lumen may be shifting its focus away from voice, creating an important moment for channel partners and their customers.

For agents with Lumen voice accounts in their book, now is the time to get ahead of the conversation. Customers using SIP, PRI, hosted PBX, Microsoft Teams or Zoom voice services may soon be evaluating what comes next, and the right migration strategy can help protect both the customer relationship and future revenue.

In our new guide, Tim Hanley, SVP of Channel at MetTel, breaks down what the reported Lumen changes could mean for agents, how to identify potentially impacted accounts, and how MetTel’s voice, connectivity, security and mobility portfolio can turn a voice transition into a broader opportunity.

Read the new guide to learn how to get ahead of the shift, protect your book of business and uncover new opportunities with your customers.

Throwing it back to a conversation that’s only becoming more relevant.

MetTel’s Max Silber joined Health Innovation Matters Podcast to talk about something many healthcare organizations are still navigating today: the move away from traditional copper-based landlines.

From elevator phones and fire alarms to other critical systems still relying on legacy lines, Max broke down what healthcare IT teams should be thinking about as copper retirement moves forward and how to plan for what comes next.

If this wasn’t on your radar when the episode first aired, it should be now.

A throwback to MetTel’s 5th Annual Night at the Ballpark ⚾

This year, members of the MetTel team came together for an evening away from the office and at the ballpark.

It’s always fun looking back at the moments that bring our team together outside of the workday. Great people, great memories, and a MetTel tradition worth remembering.

When disaster strikes, connectivity can’t wait.

From severe storms and flooding to regional outages, organizations need a way to keep critical operations connected when terrestrial networks go down. MetTel Managed Starlink provides an independent satellite connectivity path that can be rapidly deployed to restore service or connect locations without existing terrestrial options.

For one food and beverage retailer in Texas, severe storms knocked out internet access. MetTel quickly redirected a nearby Starlink satellite to restore service, helping the customer maintain connectivity and stay open while surrounding businesses went dark.

Combined with MetTel Managed SD-WAN, Starlink can serve as an automatic failover option when a primary circuit goes down, adding another layer of resilience to the enterprise network.
