mini-c wins Product of the Year

We are inclined to agree with the judges here. mini-c is a tiny powerhouse (and will make a world of difference for users in particular).

Thanks to everyone who came by the booth for a demo. Now it’s almost time for a nap.

Another bit of news:

bitbox mini-c

Designed for people who want the absolute smallest directly connected build. Same enclosure as bitbox mini now allowing a single cable for data and power. Has the same USB-C PD controller as bitbox, so it can keep the iPad battery floating. Perfect for something like an FX3 (now compatible!), a DP iPad, remote Stream Deck Pi build, and so on.

bitbox and bitbox mini-C will also work with to tunnel camera control through their USB-C port (after you connect the Moon Brain to the camera’s Ethernet) so you don’t need two radios or a switch on a camera if the 1st AC uses Moon. Plenty of bandwidth for Moon video and an RCP, Companion, Red Control or bit.ctrl and makes way better use of the spectrum

Works as a base station for up to two camera radios, can also act as a camera radio.

Available this summer. $649.

Come by Booth C7644 next to CineCentral for a demo.

The announcements keep on rolling.

Say hello to bitbox max.

Up to 1 watt of transmit power in the same tiny box.

We have developed this radio module from scratch with vastly improved filtering and industrial-grade components.

This is fully our design, inside and out, and the results have blown us away from the very first prototypes.

It’s a truly global module with the appropriate hardware filtering for all markets where we will certify the device. That means you can take it anywhere.

If you work in Europe and the US a lot, for example, you can have a proper hardware-filtered radio for both markets that blocks out the nearby cellular bands from causing you interference.

bitbox and bitbox max will pair and talk, but to benefit from the 4x power, you will need to have only bitbox max on a network for the best performance.

You can mix them within the environment, but you should pair them in like for like sets for extreme situations.

To give you an idea of the range, when we were secretly testing it at NAB last year, we walked all the way from our booth past the Dunkin’ Donuts and down the escalator all the way to the end of the bridge between the two halls and kept a rock solid link.

We’ll be posting range tests during NAB.

bitbox max will also be compatible with the forthcoming expansion module.

Shipping this summer. $1599.

Come by Booth C7644 for a demo at .

The doors just opened, and we’re excited to show you what max is capable of.

We’re announcing a bunch of new things at

First up we’ve got bit.ctrl: a true macOS and iPadOS native Venice control app made using Sony’s official SDK, optimized for wireless control.

It’s super easy to use, very fast, and very stable.

To give you an idea of the kind of bandwidth limitations it can work with, we’ve spent the last month of testing using a Venice on the other side of our studio with the antenna completely removed from the camera radio.

It also features a Bitfocus Companion module, so you can have push button and rotary k**b control of Venice from Stream Deck or any other compatible controller.

Available May 1 (or sooner, pending Apple reviews).

$99/year for bitbox owners and $229/year generally on the App Store. Short term licenses will also be available.

Come demo it at Booth C744 right next to CineCentral in Central Hall.
