**ESG Spotlight: ESG Diamonds in the Rough—Finding Value Small Cap with NLP**
Coverage on smaller companies is often overshadowed by narratives from larger firms, especially during . Using data from Amenity’s Safeguard platform and further analyses, we illustrated how to leverage to uncover important narratives from smaller firms.

We highlighted three ESG topics that showed significantly more growth in the past year amongst stocks than in stocks: , , and .

>> This month AmmPower (AMMP:CN) signed an MoU to provide green hydrogen for the Port of Corpus Christi in Texas. This is not the first time we have seen a major port adopt green hydrogen use cases, as only a few months ago the Port of Antwerp-Bruges signed a similar agreement with large producer Plug Power Inc. (PLUG:US).

>> Horisont Energi (HRGI:NO), along with e.on and Neptune Energy, is working on creating a European capture and storage value chain.

>> For the theme of financial inclusion, Network International Holdings plc (NETW:GB) is helping in Egypt use options with their new Networkpay service. Using a direct-to-merchant payment feature, Networkpay is cutting out the intermediaries traditionally used to facilitate such payments.

Three of our topics for management have seen large increases in the most recent 365 days across news, calls, and filings:

>> The topic of Circular Economy saw the largest increase as a percentage.

>> However, for these same topics we saw an even larger increase in mentions (specific company behaviors and initiatives, we extract that look for language around ESG Commitments, Investments, Exposures, and Milestones).

>> This is a sign that companies are becoming more specific in setting goals and initiatives around waste, recycling, and circular economy and are becoming more comfortable in communicating and discussing their in this area.

During the recent were a prominent theme on our Safeguard platform. That has continued in recent weeks with these topics featuring prominently from company news.

>> Last week at its Capital Markets Day Iberdrola (IBE:ES) outlined plans to invest 47 B Euros by 2025 into renewable energy. They estimate a net profit of 5.4 B Euros at the end of this period.

Looking at calls this week on our Safeguard platform we see a shift in topics towards more discussion around and and less around recycling themes we saw in previous weeks of earnings calls.

>> have been a growing category with many companies and municipalities are turning to them to fund specific projects and initiatives in the ESG space. PSP Swiss Property AG (PSPN:CH) discussed the launch of their new Green Bond framework in earnings and said any new bond issuances will “most likely be a Green Bond”

>> Primoris Services Corporation (PRIM:US), a specialty construction company, discussed in their calls that they are designing more projects around and for their clients in Texas

>> Another new term we’ve seen is where is split into hydrogen and solid carbon using electricity. If the electricity is from renewable sources, it is in theory an emissions-free process

>> NW Natural Holding (NWN:US) mentions developing projects of this nature with Modern Electron , a sustainable heat and power technology company
