When the people of God were given bread from heaven in the wilderness, they grumble and complained, longing for meat—even willing to return to slavery in Egypt (you can read more about this in the book of Numbers chapter 11). Jesus is the true bread from heaven. He offers rest and satisfaction in the wilderness of our lives.
