Quick PS5 HDMI Port Replacement Repair

This PS5 had no display due to a damaged HDMI port. I carefully removed the faulty port, cleaned the pads, installed a brand-new HDMI port, and fully tested the console. Now it’s back to life and working perfectly

Diagnosed and repaired an ASUS ROG Ally X with a no power / dead board issue. Initial inspection showed a short circuit on the main power rail caused by a failed shorted capacitor near the MOSFET power stage. Used multimeter diode and resistance measurements to trace the short, isolated the faulty capacitor, and confirmed the short was removed after component removal. Replaced the damaged capacitor, inspected the nearby MOSFET area for additional faults, and verified stable power rail behavior. After replacement, the console powered on normally and returned fully operational.
