Good Moe-Jo A local artist in Utah, doing Online Tutoring for Illustrations and Comic Making! Hello! My name is Josephine Moellmer, and I am an artist for hire.

I have been drawing my whole life, Graduated at Paradigm High School, and currently enrolled in an independent study through Leadership Training! I can use a variety of mediums, including acrylic paints, charcoal and graphite, colored pencil and digital media (SAI to be specific). I create portraits (realistic and stylized), comics, cartoons and murals. (I can also do caricatures and facepaints!)

I’m baaaaack

In case any were curious, my Instagram account got hacked a while back, and forced a hiatus for this account. Don’t worry, all is resolved and none of my personal or sensitive info got stolen. But they almost purchased a Meta subscription on my behalf, where they would no doubt would have done illegal things with my “verified” identity.

Moral of the story, update your passwords often and keep your accounts protected folks 🙃

I recently joined discord Artcana server, and have really loving the idea of posting there more regularly. As much as I like having an insta, the algorithm is wearying. It’s far more enjoyable to engage with an artist. Immunity, rather than the “feed” so if you’re in there, let me know! Maybe I’ll see you around!

Each of us grows from a different place, shaped by different needs. Our paths are not meant to match, and growth does not require sameness. What unites us is shared sunlight. Under one sun, growing together becomes possible.

My end-of-year picture is a bit late this time. I was honestly having a hard time coming up with a theme that captured 2025. But my heart has been incredibly heavy thinking about the world right now, and nothing seemed to worth finishing.

What finally resonated with me was following the .usa going through the country right now, and seeing their efforts promoting peace and compassion! I know potted plants are a weird reach, but it made sense to me haha the vision of so much diversity , growing, thriving and existing together. Sending those vibes into 2026 is my goal 🤗

BIG Thank You to Jennifer Gilbert Kielkowski for being one of my Black Friday clients!! It was a blast making icons for all of her co-workers, and being able to draw her family portraits. I love getting a glimpse into clients families, and learning about what wonderful people they are ❤️ (also, kinda star-struck to make a portrait for 🫣🫠 her work is incredible, I felt so honored to make her something!)

Again, I’m so grateful and happy when folks choose support small businesses, and hire real humans to make art, especially cartoonists ❤️ The support came just in time for us for the holidays too! thanks a bunch!

BLACK FRIDAY SLOTS = FILLED!!

I’ve been meaning to update this a while ago, but have been so busy fulfilling these commissions before Christmas! Just a quick update, my commissions are CLOSED for the rest of the year ❤️🩵💚 all of my Black Friday slots were snagged, huge THANK YOU to everyone who reached out, and helped make it happen!

I’m pulling all nighters and living at my desk, but I’m so grateful for the work. I’m continually moved by folks who still prioritize hiring humans for Art, and supporting small businesses this holiday. It seriously means so much to me 🥹

I’ll probably take a break for a while, and won’t open again till later in 2026. Keep an eye out for when that’ll be 🤗 thanks again, friends!!

As some of you know, this year has been a lot of juggling consistent work and keeping creative projects alive. I recently started a day job I’m really excited about — finally feeling a bit more financially stable 🫠 — but while I play catch-up on bills, every commission helps me stay creative and get back to comics + teaching sooner! 💪

Was mildly amused seeing this meme, and then suddenly grew more and more called out. Had to throw my hat in the ring!

Honestly, this angle is the most tricky and eludes most artists. Attempting to draw faces at this angle stumps the best of folks! I love how this post, which could have been the receiving end of ridicule and “cringe” drawing, has turned into a wholesome and uplifting response of artists simply trying their hand at it, and encouraging others to get out there and make mistakes and have fun!

Also, is a delight to draw anyway! 🩵

Life has been a bit hectic lately, and the highlight of my weeks have been our game we do every other week ❤️

I flipping love the card mechanic they’ve introduced for customizing your classes, and the fact you can upload artwork for your individual characters is so fun. This was the only one I finished before the end of the campaign, but you know we’re gonna do this system again, and you know I’ll make artwork for the next one! 😍

Comic about the craziness that has been this year and my attempts to getting reliable work… is pending haha Thank you all for hanging out and sticking with me during my inconsistent time, you’re all so lovely ❤️
