Please stay diligent against cyber crime. Here are a few helpful suggestions to protect yourself against fraud:
🚩 Check for Red Flags: Be wary of job posts that offer unrealistic salaries for entry-level roles, use poor grammar, or ask for sensitive personal information (e.g., SSN, banking details) too early in the process. As a policy, we do not ask for any sensitive personal information during interviews.
💰 Avoid Upfront Payments: A legitimate employer will never ask for money to process applications, provide training, or secure your position.
✅ Confirm Interview Details: Legitimate companies typically schedule interviews through official company email accounts, not generic addresses like Gmail or Yahoo.
🔬 Research the Company: A quick online search should reveal a legitimate company history, website, and employee presence on LinkedIn. Contact the company directly if something doesn’t seem right.
🏢 Verify the Source: Only trust job postings from official company websites or verified job boards (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed). If you’re unsure, go directly to the company’s website to confirm the opening.
🔗 Stay Alert for Phishing Links: Be cautious about clicking on links from unfamiliar sources. Only engage through the company’s official communication channels and avoid downloading unknown attachments.
