Suit Up 4 Kids is a non-profit organization which provide moments of happiness and joy to "kids", ages 1 -100, who live with life altering mental and/or physical disability. We firmly believe that improving the well-being of a person who lives with diversity, can improve health and wellness. S4K provides varying levels of support to facilitate…POSITIVE and motivating, living moments for
a person facing health challenges. We organize meet ups, and special events with fandom characters, cosplayers, actors, musicians and more; to simply put; make our kids happy. Who We Are:
Suit Up 4 Kids, addresses the well-being of “kids,” serving a population of persons; who are experiencing various levels of mental and physical disability and illness. We follow simple edicts that express our belief, that doing “good for one motivates goodness in many” and “spreading positivity, sparks positive attitudes.” We are a simple Florida based group of fans, who love to “Embrace Our Inner Geek” (Diversely Geek, 2015), through cosplay, gaming, art, dance, music, fan meet-ups, and attending fandom con’s. …When we decided to blend our love for fandom and belief in the positive effects of fandom, we focused on our founding goal of helping “children” find, express and embrace their hopes and aspirations. Purpose:
To provides avenues for our “kids” to achieve attainable goals, within the fandom/entertainment industry. For example, learning graphic design, sketch art, building cosplays, writing comic books, the art of movie-making; and more. If it’s possible, we will try!
