StarKist just moved all their marketing to one agency. Like, everything. Creative, media, social, SEO, strategy, analytics. One team.

And honestly...the reason is kind of obvious. When you've got multiple agencies handling different pieces, nobody owns the full picture. Something's not working and it's just everyone pointing at each other.

Their agency said it well: "When you integrate, and the creative and media are working together, there's nowhere to hide."

Happy National Dog Day! 🐾

These are the real MVPs behind Curiosity Marketing Group. They don't write copy or build websites, but they do provide excellent moral support (and the occasional interruption during meetings).

Most businesses don't have a content problem. They have a distribution problem.

Think about it. You've probably got podcast interviews sitting on YouTube with 50 views. Blog posts nobody's reading. Photos from events that got posted once and forgotten. The content exists. It's just not getting in front of new people.

That's the shift happening right now. The brands that are growing aren't necessarily creating more. They're taking what they already have and repurposing it into short-form clips, reels, and snippets that actually get seen by people who don't already follow them.

One great video can become 10 pieces of content. One blog post can become a week of social posts. You don't need more ideas. You need more mileage from the ones you already have.

Something we hear a lot: "I've been through a couple agencies and things still aren't clicking. What am I doing wrong?"

Usually? Nothing. The issue isn't the agency. It's that nobody's owning the strategy behind what the agency is executing.

That's the difference between a marketing agency and a fractional CMO. One executes. The other makes sure what's being executed actually connects to your business goals.

People don't just Google your business and make a decision. They check your socials, read reviews, watch a YouTube video, maybe even ask ChatGPT. Then they come back and Google you again.

A recent Search Engine Land article put it really well: people aren't following a neat funnel. They're just resolving uncertainty until they feel confident enough to act. And they're doing that across way more places than they used to.

That's why showing up in just one place isn't enough anymore. Your website, your social presence, your reviews, your content... all of it is working together to build (or lose) confidence before someone ever reaches out.

Happy birthday to our developer, Rocky!

He is an amazing problem-solver all the way through. Our dev team would not be the same without him.

Your Yelp profile is now showing up in places you might not expect.

Yelp just partnered with ChatGPT. That means your reviews, ratings, and business details are being surfaced directly in AI search responses. Not just on Yelp. In the chat window where people are actively deciding where to go and who to hire.

If your profile is unclaimed, outdated, or full of unanswered reviews, that's what AI is telling people about your business. Most companies are so focused on Google they forget Yelp even exists. That just became a more expensive mistake.

78% of marketers can't keep up with personalization. We can. (And no, it's not because we don't sleep.)

It's because we build systems that do the heavy lifting. The right message hits the right person at the right time, automatically. No one's staying up late manually sending follow-ups. The system handles it.

Best example from this article: imagine your dog groomer sends a reminder the exact week your dog needs a trim. You're booking that appointment immediately. That's not magic, that's automation doing what it's supposed to do.
