This tractor had the trifecta! Trimble ez steer, raven rate control and Deere brown box for a seedstar 1 1900 air cart/ blockage.

My customer came to me looking for an upgrade as well as consolidate his tech, and I was able to price him out options to go with any of the 3 brands. In the end, he decided to bring his Deere equipment back to its roots: we got an ATU300 for steering, replaced the seedstar 1 hardware/harness with new seedstar 2, and found a used all-run blockage system for seedstar 2. All ran off a 2630 display and a starfire 3000.

I think he made the right choice, this new setup has a factory feel and performs great! I’ve done air cart upgrades but this was a first for replacing with a new seedstar 2 harness and controller. It was actually a fun project, especially fishing the harness through the tongue 😅.

I got to setup an RC3 for the first time. Had some things to learn along the way, and we are up and running! Overall, I like the controller. It is simple to use, and integrates well with a g5 display. It functions like the old gs2 rate controller with a nice face lift. Multiple products with dry compatibility will be a nice welcome. You can export profiles to a usb drive. In fact, you can setup/import profiles to a display without the rate controller connected! I see this being very handy when they allow it to data sync with ops center. Harnessing is nice too, 3rd party can easily make new harnesses. Possibly the coolest part about it that makes it stand out- work triggers. You can choose any scv, pto, hitch, pretty much like in the equipment manager. Who needs a work switch when scv 1 does the same thing!

I’m kidding. It’s got a bad steering wheel sensor, this is what it looks like to repair it. Without it there’s no auto steer, and nobody wants that!

Just got this custom built trailer in!
This trailer was built-to-order from the ground up in just 2 weeks. This one includes a 1400 gallon cone-bottom tank, a marksman injection system, a Honda transfer pump to push or pull, an electric agitation pump, And eductor. Complete with trailer brakes and lights!

2nd install completed this week! Check out this Great Plains BD7600. Lance Dever at Central Machine sold a new SurePoint Ag Systems tank, pump, and dual metering tube for 3 sections and 60 rows. The dual metering tube has an amazing range, able to apply anywhere from 5-55 gpa with a simple turn of a k**b for low/med/high rates. The best part is no plugged orifices!

This customer just bought a 1725 Exact Emerge planter, and needed equipment that can handle the high speeds. We set him up with a brand new SurePoint Ag Systems GFX hydraulic downforce trash cleaner system and Liquishift Gen 3 with Sentinel row monitoring. I’m excited to see it in the field!
