I’ve been sitting on this for a few months but here goes… introducing the freshly renamed: Adrienne Langer Studio (previously Art by Adrienne Langer!) ✨

I had fun working on a new icon, branding and logo for my art biz. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do 💛

The backstory:
Since returning to live in the Philly area, I’ve definitely struggled with figuring out who I am as an artist, mama and as a human being in general. When we left Montana, I took some much needed time off from freelance and craft fairs to spend more time with the kiddos during our transition. More recently, we’ve settled into our house in Audubon and I’ve thankfully gotten back into the rhythm of making things.
Last Fall, I sadly left my job where I worked with an incredible team for almost 12 years, but have enjoyed carving out my new full-time role with a different crew of badass ladies, more locally to our new home.
All of these changes along with dipping my toes back into doing craft fairs made me do a little soul searching, with finally feeling like I needed to carve out a new path for myself as an artist, that reflects who I have grown into. The new brand name (even if just a little bit different) and look really feels like ME and that I’ve truly come home 🌼

Wow!! I had a fantastic day vending at the East Falls Festival yesterday. It’s been a while since I did a craft fair and I had to rebuild half of my set up with new displays and a new canopy. I did a couple of new East Falls themed prints for the show and happily sold through most of them!
Since I grew up in East Falls, I was excited to vend and see some old faces and also meet so many awesome new people. Last craft fair I did in Philly was the punk rock flea market in 2012 or 2013 so it really felt like a homecoming.

I’ll be showing again at the Holiday Art Star Craft Bazaar
November 22nd and 23rd from 11am-5pm at the Event Center at Rivers Casino on Delaware Ave in Philly! ✨🎄

✨🌼 SHOP IS OPEN 🌼✨

Thanks to your encouragement, I took the plunge and got my new web store up and running! I have some new prints available including the second edition of my Philadelphia Row Homes poster along with the updated original version and a freshly resized Missoula poster.

I’m still locked out of my Etsy shop for the time being, but I’ll keep taking it as a sign that it’s time to refocus and work on improving my own website!

I started “Dan’s Garden” three years ago in the fall after my old friend from college Dan Hughes passed away quite suddenly. Yesterday was his birthday and I felt the urge to pick up my paintbrush and celebrate him again by finally finishing the painting. I’ve chipped away at this slowly, not only as a tribute to him but to help me reflect and remember him. At the time that he passed away, I hadn’t seen Dan in a decade but the loss still cut deep.

The roses in this painting are inspired by one of Dan’s old pieces. He was a talented artist. He loved gardening and Cat, the orange tabby tinged with grey who climbed into a radiator the day I brought her to his house on League street when she was a kitten.

Happy birthday Dan, the world misses you 🎂💛

This week, I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely gal in person to hand over this house portrait that she commissioned. She had misplaced the original version I created back in 2019, so it was a fun challenge to revisit the piece with a few updated details! Drawing the architecture, the plants, and the teeny tiny pet portraits brings me so much joy!

It’s my sweet friend’s birthday today! ✨
I wish we could celebrate together but am still having fun sitting here reminiscing on our craft show antics, our creative collabs and our Montana adventures together.

A few weeks ago we spent a really sweet weekend away from the kiddos in and around Jim Thorpe, PA celebrating the bday boy .

Just got to finish my sketch of the A-frame house we stayed in Albrightsville. We saw more deer than people in the development 🦌
