I'm on a True Crime kick and there's plenty of goodies for fellow true crime lovers at Feral Macaroni! For one of my school projects we had to create a doodle sheet and I chose images from true crime podcasts that I had been listening to while I worked. At one point I made this diamond as a potential for a logo and I always liked it so I went diamond crazy in my Etsy shop! It's been a minute! I got a little busy with school and life, you know how it is. Here's one of my final portfolio projects. I had this great sketch of a devil mask and I thought, what a perfect image for hot sauce! I created the vector image and customized some type to mimic the sharp barbs of the mask horns/flames and applied it to several items to show what it might look like in the real world. Looks convincing to me!

A recent project where we reimagined an album cover with the catch that the type had to be a raster image, aka not just typing it out in a computer program. I cut out the type and filled it with sugar then flipped it, reversed it and layered it with ocean. And here it is!

Taking an Intaglio printmaking class this semester along with my design classes. Our first print was a drypoint etching into a piece of thin plexiglass and sending it through the press. There's nothing as satisfying as pulling back that paper after it comes out and seeing your print! It's nice to get my hands dirty again, literally.

Typography and finding interesting ways to showcase letters and headlines is a huge part of Graphic Design. It's something that you have to work at constantly and consistently. It doesn't even have to be good, but you have to keep expanding your mind. For these I used Procreate on my iPad, starting with a hand drawing underneath.
