I started trying to list out the things I accomplished this year and then I just got anxious and overwhelmed… so I’m not gonna do that.

That said, I’ve still got a general overall feeling of achievement because like… we all freakin should.

Even if all you did for this entire year was sit on your couch and watch daytime tv reruns, way to freakin go because you made it through 2021 and this year was really freaking hard for a lot of us and 2022 will probably still be hard but we’re still gonna wake up every day and probably skip putting pants on but definitely at least drink a cup of coffee.

So cheers to everyone out there who is still trying to be the best person you can be. That’s plenty 💖🥂✨

I have some very important things to say:

1. Don’t bother watching the movie “Pig” (the one with Nicholas cage)

2. The left lane is for PASSING. If you are driving the speed limit, YOU ARE GOING TOO SLOW.

3. If you pre-order the new album, cedar, from before Christmas, you’ll get a little extra song/video surprise. 🎁 You should also just do it because it’s amazing. Check out the link in her bio to preorder now (and also to see the album artwork, by me!)

The last few months have been pretty nutso for us. I keep trying to convince myself that this is regular life, but I also know that these periods of transition don’t last forever and it’s ok if I’m feeling overwhelmed! Right?

This last May I flew out to Seattle for 2 weeks to meet my new (and perfect) nephew. 💕While I was out here, Brendon took a temporary (2 month) position in Portland, so I canceled my tickets to go back to Miami and we stayed in the PNW with plans to leave at the end of July. While out here, he ended up taking the job permanently and we started making plans for the cross country move. (Considering all I had was my carry-on bag and he had one suitcase, there wasn’t much we could do by way of packing 😅)

For months we had already had a vacation up to the NE planned at the very end of July, and THANK GOD we were still able to take it. I absolutely love getting up to the Jersey shore and PA💜

After 8 days in the northeast, we flew down to Savannah, picked up Wednesday and our car, and drove back to Miami, where we had 5 days to pack/sell everything we own.

And we did it! But Wednesday and I got stuck for a few extra days in FL because of heat embargos in Portland (she couldn’t fly). After a few days staying with my dad, we were able to fly… but about 30 seconds after I sat down on the plane, I found out that miss princess Wednesday decided to chew out of her crate and get blood everywhere, and that they weren’t allowing us to fly. 🙈

So my mama flew out, I rented a car, and we spent 5 days driving across 14 states.

That brings me to today! We’re all together again and our stuff doesn’t get here for another week, but we’re comfy in our new (empty) apartment. I’m so fu***ng blessed to have a job that I can work from anywhere (including in moving a car in the middle of Kansas) and two families (one I was born into and one I married into) who do so so so much for us. And not to get too mushy, but I’m also blessed to have a husband who works so fu***ng hard for our little family. (And who is also a total babe😏)

So after 7 years in the SE, I’m back in the PNW! AND Brendon is learning about this PNW life. ❤️

Good riddance, 2020.

It’s very cloudy and wet in Vero today. Just needed a bit of color in my life. ❤️💖💙💛

Now, I realize that it may *appear* as though the captured Queen Wednesday is watching the long-legged-alien-monster-guy, but really...... she’s just staring at that ‘za, y’all.

A bit of research (aka instagram stalking) last night revealed that there’s been controversy around and it’s creator , involving his new book and plagiarism. So I’ve decided to switch October challenges, and have found a couple of different ones (shout out to !) that tbh just sound like more fun! One from and another from . Not sure which I’ll end up pursing (maybe both!?), but I invite y’all to join me! 🤗

bought us some pretty lilies. I decided to sketch them. Shortly thereafter, my sweet Wednesday was roughhousing with her toys and knocked the vase over. Had only finished one lily. That’s my story. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Swipe all the way to see the initial sketch. I cleaned it up with solid lines but I can’t decide which style I like better? What do y’all think... the “sketchy” look or the cleaned up, more digital look? 🤷🏻‍♀️
