Did you know you could very simply attach any type of addressable LED strip to Pixelblaze with your choice of power and it'll just...work?

Many LED strips and 2D matrixes come with what's called a JST connector. Our Pixelblaze Standard has screw terminals that need an extremely beginner-level second of soldering to make happen, then you just click your JST connectors together and boom. MAGIC.

If that sounds like too much, and you don't want to go over our useful help guide, we even have a solderless version of the Pixelblaze Standard. Simply buy it with a JST connector with 3 or 4 wires (you know what you need by looking at your LED connector), and BOOM, MAGIC!

Pixelblaze has a preloaded library of the best completely unique patterns around, it updates wirelessly, and you don't need to solder or program anything (unless you want to, then you totally can).

We have been HARD at work prepping for Bay Area Maker Faire 2024 ✨. We're an extremely small team of passionate electronic artists, so you know every board has been tested and bagged with love.

We will have event specials, bulk discounts and kits never before seen for this Maker Faire 🎉. We've got a recently new completely solderless Pixelblaze, and an upgraded Pixelblaze Pico with 6-axis accelerometer 💃

It's worth finding us at Maker Faire (or online will do) if you have ANY interest in what LEDs can really do 😉 And since we haven't traditionally done events, we'd just love to see your face 😁

Hey glowy-blinky fans,

The magicians and weavers have toiled and crafted, forging the inner workings of the campaign’s magic. And though the day wanes, the Pixelblaze V3 campaign LIVES! To anyone who knows Pixelblaze, thank you for being here. For any new adventurers, welcome! The LEDs are bright.

In case you hadn’t already gotten the good word, this campaign was summoned at an extra special time. Crowd Supply is shifting their fulfillment process to a new system. This means lower prices then would have existed in the old system, and you get FREE domestic shipping on everything until November 21st. The magical shipping portal will close on the 22nd, and so too with it will free shipping, so don’t delay!

Why Pixelblaze?
I created Pixelblaze because I wanted a better, faster way to write patterns for LEDs. I like to think we have come quite far with that.

This latest incantation of Pixelblaze brings more computing power and a smaller form factor so it can be used in even more creative ways, both larger in scope and smaller in size. This project will help continue the development of Pixelblaze with more features in the future.

We are overjoyed to launch this campaign on Crowd Supply. We are prepared, and yet the battle has just begun! Explore what path lay behind us, and help forge the future!
