I sew pillow case dresses, elastic skirts, aprons, etc for kids. Beyond sewing, I make other craft projects in vinyl and heat transfer. I make hair bows and bow ties. I do graphic design so I can create something original or duplicate a design. I also design logos.

Summer is quickly coming to an end as PTO is starting to pick up and my calendar is filling. I am currently working on fundraising stuff for one PTO, taking notes for the other and writing out class plans. All while the pool calls to me.

I moved my desk to the living room so I can work and still have eyes on the pool. After a 3 hr pto meeting last night, I am up working on minutes and preparing for a different pto meeting tonight.

Another annual Minions movie with my girls. We have seen every Minion related movie in theaters since I was pregnant with Easton in 2013. I actually thought I was in labor during Despicable Me bc she was kicking so hard. I will have an official teenager in 7 more days.

Do teachers get the summer off? The short answer is yes but not really. Most days I do rest and I'm usually found by the pool but while my kids sleep I start working on schedules, plans and assignments to get ahead so August is so overwhelming. I do my required online trainings and I create original curriculum.

When you have to work over the summer but it doesnt feel like work bc you get to make art. I made a coffee cup planter and a head planter. Next week we will glaze them and then fire them in the kiln.
