Apostle - Metal for the Master cover art. This was a team effort cover. The original album didn’t have a real cover. The son of guitarist Matt Harding came up with the basic idea for this cover in AI. We wanted a comic book feel, so I went to town in Photoshop and this is the result. Came out amazing! Thank you Jacob Harding.

Sometimes I nail a cover design on the first proof out the door. Sometimes, like this one, it goes through many, many rounds of changes to get the final result. This one was many, many…many layers in Photoshop.
-The STORIES “logo” was built in Photoshop using embossing and gradients, then the jewels were added in AI.
-The lyrics on the left-hand page are actual John Elefante lyrics.
-The ink well and microphone are fun. It’s as if John wrote his history with that microphone.
