Hello, community friends! It’s story time—and if you know the Burrells, please add your own stories in the comments. They deserve way more attention on here than they get!
Let’s rewind to my first year of dog shows, also known as
“Brittani Accidentally Meets All the Wrong People Tour.”
Yeah… it was rough. I didn’t know what I was doing, I’m pretty sure I was just being used to collect points, and I honestly thought maybe I wasn’t cut out for the show world.
Then—thankfully—I stumbled into a new circle. A friend invited me over to learn some grooming. She took me to a show. She introduced me to her group… and guess what?
That group turned out to be the Burrell Handling crew.
From the start, they were awesome.
Sue helped me calm my dog down with gentle leadership reassignment (turns out “bunny hopping BRT” isn’t a real handling style). She helped groom her. She gave me tips. She welcomed me in.
When March Madness in Edison rolled around, I didn’t get a grooming spot (because checks in the mail?? still wild to me), and Sue shared electricity with me and space with their crew. Again, just kindness after kindness.
Since then, we’ve kept growing closer. And when I came to their place for my first official handling lessons, I realized: I want to help them the way they’ve helped me.
So now, I’m officially teaming up with Burrell Handling to support their growth behind the scenes—social media, graphics, website, digital files, all the techie stuff they don’t have time for while training amazing dogs and mentoring kind, hardworking handlers.
They’re the kind of people who make the dog world better.
Please give them a follow, cheer them on, and watch what’s coming.
This one’s personal. And I’m so glad it is
