Slowly coming out of the woodwork and easing my way back to the saddle.

Still currently closed for concert and promo photos, but feel free to reach out regarding merch design, merch photography, video rendering, copy writing, and other services!

Everything you post to your page, be it a text post on your personal page, one photo out of an entire album shared to facebook, or a sample of new music you're about to launch on all streaming platforms, may be the first thing a potential new fan sees.

Take a look at your content one by one. Is this your best foot forward? If THIS is all somebody saw of you, would you feel confident with that?

Unpopular Opinion: don't let anyone tell you you can't do concert photography, or any photography really, with just a cell phone. It's harder without a professional camera, but it can be done.

Practice, practice, practice.
Follow proper etiquette, and go through the proper channels.
Put your best foot, and the bands best face, forward. This means not posting or delivering JUST anything for the sake of it.
Know when to charge and when to build your portfolio.

And guess what? All that s**t applies to people with cameras too. You don't get to break the rules just cause you've got a $6000 rig, my guy. Give me a polite up and comer over an uppity vet any day.

Not posting new concert and promo photos because you aren't getting hired for them because you aren't posting because you have nothing to post is a cycle, and it SUCKS. We've all been there, but not taking photos or posting content because it's not music-related and that's all you want to do and get hired for is big "vocalist that doesn't help with load in" energy. You CAN show people what you have to offer even when the jobs aren't rolling in. It's easy.

Practice your story telling and flat lays using slices of your own life while waiting to get booked for merch shoots.
Practice your trailing and reflexes by going to a local skatepark or trying your hand at sports photography while waiting to get booked for concerts.
Practice your videography by filming vlog style BTS reels for your favorite creators or businesses while waiting to get booked for tours.
Practice your lighting by doing creative portrait shoots in weird locations while waiting to get booked for promo shoots.

No one is going to hire you if they don't hear about you, and no one is going to hear about you if all you do while waiting for the next gig is doom scroll.

"My band has a TikTok but I don't know what to do with it."

Felt that. Lemme help you out real quick.

Host an open verse challenge. Participate in an open verse challenge. Reimagine the chorus of your most popular song. Trade reaction videos with your favorite bands. React to your fans reaction videos. Do a time lapse of set-up or tear-down. Do a time lapse of the crowd filling in for your set. Get BTS footage of your photo shoot. Get BTS footage of your music video. S**t, SHOOT a music video. Film yourself packing online orders, making sure you include a note signed by the band of course. Film yourself checking on your merch as it's in production, if that's possible. Get a lyric video done. Share your favorite song writing and composition tips. Film the wildest rest stop bathroom graffiti you find on the road and do a compilation. Get BTS footage of the studio. Throw down a vocal cover. Throw down a vocal cover ANYWHERE but in your car. Get video of what goes into your look before hitting the stage.

Last but not least, look into your favorite local content creators. Don't assume photographers stop at photography. Whatever production you're having done, ask exactly what sort of additional content you can get out of it, be it recording it yourself or being willing to pay extra to add it to your package.

Photo for attention, because who doesn't love attention.
