What happens if your liquor store loses internet? Do you have to tell your customers "Cash Only"? And how many of your customers carry cash these days? The Wholesale Value and Sales YTD of your store are 2 of the most important success indicators for your liquor store. If your wholesale value is increasing, but your sales are decreasing, you are not making good purchasing decisions. If your sales are increasing and your wholesale value is decreasing, you are making good buying decisions and increasing your profit margins. Every liquor store has Dead Products. These products take up shelf space, cost you money when you bought them, and aren't doing anything for your store. How long does a product have to be in your store without being sold before you consider it "Dead"? 3 months? 12 months? 2 years? How much did you pay for those units? $20/unit? $100/unit? If you bought something for $100, and are selling it for $150, but haven't sold one in 12 months, you aren't selling it for $150. You just spent money for nothing. A few years ago, the state of CT implemented a $0.05 fee on every 50ml sold in the state. Most liquor store owners had to manually add this fee to every 50ml one-by-one. Our users added the fee to every 50ml in batches of 100 at a time. For a lot of them, it only took about 30 seconds. So instead of spending an entire Sunday night, after close, editing products to be ready for the Monday that it was implemented, our users got to spend time with their families on Sunday evening and do it first thing Monday morning.
