Hey all! Sorry for the silence. Things have been rampant for me in my personal life. If anyone knows me, you know how close I am to my Nani. She was the light of my life, and my guardian until the end. Now, it's my turn to take a stand and be there for her.
I've been flying back and forth from North Carolina to California to help take care of her in her final days.
My grandma has rapid dementia. We've been dealing with it for a while, but it's late stage. She's lost it.
Yesterday, she had a fall and fractured her hip. She is in for surgery today. This is detrimental to her well-being because now she's going to be bedridden.
We have been struggling to afford her living facilities, and she has no money to her name because she trusted my uncle (her son) to hold onto it. He has since refused to help, even though he said he would if we needed it.
That being said, I'm gonna try to raise money to help her out. I'm sorry to post here and ask, but hey, it doesn't hurt to try.
Anything helps, sharing, donating, or thinking of us. I really appreciate you. If you'd like to leave some kind words for me to read to Nani to keep her spirits high, I'll happily do that as well. 💕
