Marketing was never Dr. Bill Jensen's problem. He built three practices on it, one of them going from $0 to $200K a month in under six months.
But marketing was the only thing he was truly dominant at. Billing, hiring, training, systems, all of it lived in the background, patched together as he went.
When his primary insurance payer changed its model and referral volume disappeared, that one strength wasn't enough to hold three practices up. He filed bankruptcy on two of them and spent 10 years rebuilding.
In his own words: "There's so many different aspects to running a good, well-rounded, successful organization... when you're really dominant in one thing, but you're not really good at any other key, when that revenue source goes away, you're in big, big trouble."
If there's one part of your practice you know is quietly carrying everything else right now, this episode is for you.

Because being great at one thing was never going to be enough. It's building all the pieces together that makes it last.
