Your website doesn't need to be beautiful. It needs to be believable.
I know how that sounds from somebody who builds websites for a living. I'd still defend it.
Beautiful is what impresses other designers. Believable is what makes a stranger willing to hand over their phone number.
Those aren't the same thing. I've seen gorgeous sites that felt like a front, and plain ones that felt like a business you could walk into. The plain one wins, because the visitor isn't judging your taste. They're working out whether you're real, whether you're still open, and whether they'd be embarrassed recommending you.
Believable is unglamorous. Real photos of real people instead of stock. A specific address. Prices, or a range. Actual years in business. Names. A phone number a person answers. Writing that sounds like somebody said it out loud.
None of that needs a redesign, which is the part that costs me money to say.
If your site looks dated but a stranger can tell a real business is behind it, you're in better shape than most.
