Three years ago I took myself to Puerto Rico TWICE in 4 weeks to heal and decompress after determining my marriage was over.

I had to re-learn what my inner voice sounded like - and tickets were cheap.

Today I charged my old phone looking for PR pics to jump on the Bad Bummy support bandwagon..... just being honest.... and found this video and it has WARMED ME - I pray ALL of these Queens, where ever they are going their seats constantly get upgraded for FREE, the bank makes errors in their favor, that they never have to touch another doorknob, that they'll never have to flick a match more than once.

Today I am reminded of how calming your spirit was.

You were cool before we understood what cool really was.

The way you delivered jokes, how you saw the beauty in so many things, even your sneak disses - you were so cool.

I miss your cool so much I find myself trying to imitate it.
Smiling at strangers. Helping old people at the grocery store.
Drum solos on the steering wheel. Randomly complimenting cashiers and servers and librarians and old people.

Joy truly does come in the mourning because I've been really happy lately, doing exactly what we said I'd do - just being cool.

First up, Hertel Liquor Library - a beautiful storefront with an awesome selection of all the rare finds I need in this season of Blackness. I was searching for Viarae Prosecco and snatched the last two bottles off the shelf! Not sorry!
