What do you grab when the evacuation order comes?
For me it was 100 scoreboards.
A brush fire started down the road from my garage.
One acre.
Then thirty.
Then ninety.
I run Dropshot out of that garage. About 650 scoreboards and my Jeep fits 100. The rest stayed.

stopped it before it reached us. Planes, helicopters, ground crews showed up fast and did what they do. Forever grateful.

Tournament directors kept asking me for one thing.
Make sure the score is even easier to see for spectators. So we went in the lab and connected multiple scoreboards together. Putting the final touches on it now.

Shark Tank producers reached out twice. I turned them down both times. Not because I think I’m above it. Because I would have gotten destroyed.

First time I barely had a prototype. Second time I had a Kickstarter but hadn’t shipped a single unit. Those Sharks would have eaten me alive and they would have been right to.

But I’m not saying no forever. I’m saying not yet.

Every single person who sees this scoreboard in person gets the same look on their face. Like “oh wait, this is legit.”

The problem is I sell online. No retail stores. No showroom. Just a website and some product photos that don’t do it justice.

So how do you sell something people need to hold to believe when you’re one guy working out of a garage?

Genuinely asking. How would you get this in front of more people?

I built a scoreboard from scratch, shipped hundreds of units, and now I’m staring down the hardest decision so far.
