One of the most impactful moments from Interop wasn't inside the conference hall. It was happening in the field.

During a live emergency response exercise in Texas, agencies collaborated to respond to a simulated wildland fire scenario involving local, state, and federal stakeholders. The exercise showcased how different communication technologies can work together to support a coordinated response.

Inside T-Mobile's emergency response vehicle, our team demonstrated a RHINO T80 running TAK, a Sonim XP Pro with sidelink technology, and radio integrations working together to maintain real-time situational awareness across multiple networks.

The result? Teams stayed connected across cellular, radio, and direct device-to-device communications, helping ensure information flowed where it was needed, when it was needed.

This is what interoperability looks like in action.

What if a rugged phone didn't feel like a rugged phone? That's exactly what Tom's Guide discovered after spending a week with the Sonim XP Pro Thermal.

In this hands-on review, the publication praised the device for combining military-grade durability with a surprisingly slim, pocketable design, all while delivering the power of an integrated FLIR thermal camera.

From identifying insulation gaps to enhancing visibility in low-light environments, the XP Pro Thermal demonstrates how thermal imaging can provide practical value far beyond specialized use cases. And with IP68/IP69K ratings, MIL-STD-810H durability, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, and wireless charging, it's built for professionals who need performance without compromise.

See why Tom's Guide says the XP Pro Thermal challenges everything you think you know about rugged devices.
