We've got a new face at Userflow—say hi to Christy Huggins, our new VP of Marketing!

Christy joins us with 10+ years in marketing at PLG B2B SaaS companies like Eventbrite and OneSignal, plus a recent run consulting with early-stage startups.

And before all that? A decade working in the NFL—so don't be surprised if she's the one who gets a Userflow fantasy football league off the ground come fall.

What drew her here, in her words: "I wanted to work inside a company that's both building an AI-forward product and running on it internally. Through my conversations with Alex and the team, it was clear that's genuinely true at Userflow."

Welcome, Christy—we're glad you're here!

Your onboarding didn't fail. It rotted.

We read what product and CS teams say about adoption every month, in the places where nobody's selling to them—G2, Reddit, practitioner communities. 400+ conversations this round, and one frustration came through that wasn't there a month ago.

You build the flow. It works. Activation ticks up. Then your team ships, every sprint, faster now that AI has compressed the build cycle. A few releases later, half your tours point at buttons that moved, steps that no longer exist, screens that got redesigned.

Nobody notices. Until a user complains in a review.

The phrasing keeps repeating across the threads: "Every time we pushed a new feature, at least one tour broke. Silently." "All of them needed a dedicated person just to keep them alive." One practitioner called it simply: "onboarding rot is just PLG debt."

The faster you ship, the further your onboarding drifts from reality. The teams getting ahead of this stopped treating onboarding as a one-time build—they treat it as a system that evolves at the same speed as the product.

The question isn't "is our onboarding good?" It's "is our onboarding still true?"

Full breakdown, including how to spot rot before your users do, on our blog:

We analyzed 400+ reviews and found a new product adoption problem: onboarding rot and the hidden cost of fast shipping.

No engineering ticket. No back-and-forth. Just clean visibility she can pull up any time of day.

Most customer-obsessed teams don't have a data problem.

They have a connectivity problem.

The drop-off spikes on Tuesday. Your CS team hears about it at Friday's sync. A user crosses a usage threshold, someone files a ticket, engineering picks it up two sprints later, and the moment is gone.

The data knew what to do. The system just couldn't act on it in time.

We looked at 4,434 converted accounts. Among the highest-performing programs, 66% have at least one integration active. The top performers weren't sitting on more data. They'd wired it to act.

So we closed the loop. Mixpanel events now trigger Userflow experiences directly. A native Slack integration routes product signals to the right channel in real time. And Userflow MCP puts your product data inside the AI tools your team already uses.

Connected stack, real-time signals, experiences that respond to behavior instead of location.

That's the operating model. It's live in Userflow, on every plan. Start a free trial and connect your first integration:

Most teams find out something went wrong in their product the same way: a support ticket, a churn notice, or a metric that already dropped.

Today we shipped Userflow MCP so you can ask questions about your flows, NPS, and user behavior directly from Claude, ChatGPT, and more. No dashboards, no exports. Just answers, where you already work.

We also shipped native Slack integration and a Mixpanel two-way sync.

From insight to action, without the detour.

Available on all plans today: https://hubs.ly/Q04k5fBV0

Say hello to Joanna Mateen—our new Product Designer, and the first face in a new series introducing the people joining Userflow.

Joanna comes to us with eight years across startups. Originally from Chicago, she's now in Boise, out exploring the mountains with her husband, daughter, and dog Bodhi.

She was giving user testing feedback before most of us knew the term—as a middle schooler. Her dad worked at Motorola and brought home unreleased Razr phones, and Joanna was the one putting them through their paces.

In her words: "What drew me to Userflow is the product itself—it bridges the gap between creating a genuinely better user experience and giving companies the actual insights they need to improve."

Welcome, Joanna. We're glad you're here!

5 questions to ask before you buy any "AI-powered" product adoption tool:

• Is the AI native to the platform, or a feature flag bolted on last quarter?
• What data does the AI actually need to work?
• How are AI-generated experiences reviewed before going live?
• What's actually automated—the full workflow, or a chatbot in the help docs?
• Can flows be A/B tested, or is the AI a black box?

If the vendor's answers get vague on any of these, the AI is a marketing layer—not a product capability.
