Every pixel has to earn its place. That's the 2026 rule for landing pages.
A common benchmark puts median landing page conversion around 6.6%. The sites beating that aren't fancier. They're clearer.
Minimalism for conversion doesn't mean empty pages. It means fewer decisions:
- Strip anything that doesn't help the visitor finish the task
- One goal per page. One obvious button.
- Use motion sparingly, only to guide attention
- Cut the friction: fewer fields, fewer steps, fewer distractions
If an element isn't moving someone toward the action you want, it's decoration. And decoration doesn't convert.
What's the first thing you'd remove from your landing page?
